As part of the ongoing 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, the Berine and Bokwe Foundation (BEBOF), alongside partners, engaged students of Government Technical College Bova in an awareness-raising session focused on digital violence and other forms of gender-based violence affecting young people.

The session formed part of ongoing efforts to bring conversations around digital safety, gender-based violence, and prevention closer to young people in schools and communities.

Students were introduced to the different forms of digital violence, the potential dangers associated with online abuse, and the importance of adopting safe and responsible practices when using digital platforms. Discussions also explored broader forms of gender-based violence and their impact on young people.

The engagement was highly interactive, with students actively participating throughout the session. They asked questions, shared their experiences and perspectives, and engaged in discussions around ways they can contribute to creating safer environments for themselves and their peers.

The session at Government Technical College Bova reinforced the importance of continued sensitization and youth engagement in the fight against gender-based violence.

BEBOF, together with its partners, remains committed to strengthening awareness among young people and supporting efforts to build safer digital and physical environments where everyone can learn, participate, and thrive free from violence and abuse.
